These plans are utilized by our clients as the primary retirement benefit for their employees. DC plans allow employers to have a known and manageable cost of providing the retirement benefit.

They are also a very effective way for business owners to save for retirement and to manage federal income tax issues. They allow plan participants to control their own retirement savings..

TracyCo is a little different than many providers of retirement plan services. Our business model is to act as the financial advisor and the third party administrator for the plans that we service.

There are several advantages to this approach:

  • We coordinate directly between the advisor and the plan administrators in all interaction with both the plan sponsor and plan participants
  • We are the single point of contact for all plan related issues

At TracyCo, our expertise in 401(k) plans and our role as both advisor and TPA allow us to minimize fiduciary risk for you.

We document all plan design, plan operation, and investment related decisions.

We work directly with plan auditors to make sure that our plans are in compliance. We acknowledge our role as a plan fiduciary with respect to investment lineup decisions.

The role of a financial advisor for a 401(k) plan is to provide both the plan sponsor and the plan participants with support to make them successful in reaching their goals.

We support the plan sponsor with the following:

  • Investment benchmarking and lineup
